Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 27 July 2026
These terms apply to smart lock installation and configuration work booked with SmartLockPro, a smart lock installation business based in Manchester. By booking an installation with us, you agree to these terms.
1. Our services
We supply, fit, and configure smart locks for Airbnb hosts, landlords and property managers, homeowners, and commercial premises across Manchester and the Northwest. Every job includes both the physical installation and the software/app setup (guest codes, remote access, account configuration) needed to actually use it — this is what separates our service from a bare hardware fit.
2. Quotes and pricing
We agree a price with you before we start work, based on your property and chosen lock. The price agreed at booking is the price you pay, unless you ask for extra work once we're on site — any changes are agreed with you before we carry them out.
We are not currently VAT registered, so no VAT is added to our prices.
3. Payment
Payment is due on completion of the installation, unless we've agreed a different arrangement with you in writing beforehand.
4. Cancellation
If you booked online or by phone, you have the right to cancel within 14 days of booking under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. If you'd like the installation carried out within that 14-day period, we'll ask you to confirm in writing that you're happy for us to proceed — once work has started, this cancellation right no longer applies to the work already completed.
Outside the 14-day period, please give us as much notice as possible if you need to cancel or rearrange — we'll always try to accommodate a reschedule.
5. Buying products from us
Where you buy a lock or other product through this website, the following applies in addition to the sections above. Nothing here reduces your statutory rights.
Changing your mind
Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 you may cancel an order for goods within 14 days of the day after you receive them, for any reason and without giving one. Tell us by email and we'll confirm. You then have a further 14 days to send the goods back.
Return postage is your responsibility unless the item is faulty or not what you ordered, in which case we cover it. Please return goods complete and in a resaleable condition — we may reduce a refund to reflect any loss in value caused by handling beyond what is needed to inspect the item, in the same way you would in a shop.
We'll refund you within 14 days of receiving the goods back, or of you giving us proof of postage, whichever is sooner, using the payment method you paid with.
Buying a product with fitting included
Where your order includes installation, we ask you to confirm at checkout that you want us to arrange fitting within the 14-day cancellation period. That confirmation is a legal requirement, not a formality: once the installation has been fully carried out, the cancellation right no longer applies to that work. Your right to cancel the product is unaffected while it remains uninstalled.
Every fitted order is surveyed before we install anything. If the survey finds your door won't take the lock, we'll tell you before any work starts and refund the fitting in full. You may keep the lock or return it under the 14-day right above. We would rather lose the sale than fit onto a door that cannot properly hold the lock.
If something is faulty
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, goods must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. If they aren't, you have a 30-day right to reject them for a full refund. After 30 days we'll repair or replace the item, and if that isn't possible or doesn't resolve it you may be entitled to a price reduction or to reject the goods.
This is separate from, and additional to, the manufacturer's warranty and our own 12-month installation guarantee below.
Prices and availability
Prices include VAT where applicable and are confirmed at checkout. Where we show a previous price struck through, it is a price we have genuinely charged. If an item turns out to be unavailable after you order, we'll tell you and refund in full — we won't substitute a different product without asking you first.
6. Workmanship guarantee
All installations are covered by a 12-month workmanship guarantee. If something we fitted stops working correctly within 12 months of installation, we'll come back and fix it at no charge. This covers our installation and configuration work — it doesn't cover damage caused by misuse, or manufacturer hardware faults, which are covered by the lock manufacturer's own warranty.
7. Liability
We hold public liability insurance. Our liability to you for any loss or damage arising from our work is limited to the value of that insurance cover, except where the law doesn't allow us to limit liability (for example, for death or personal injury caused by our negligence).
8. Your data
We collect the personal data needed to provide a quote and carry out your installation — see our Privacy Policy for full details on what we collect, why, and your rights.
9. Complaints
If something's not right, please get in touch and we'll put it right. Our process:
- We'll acknowledge your complaint within 6 hours
- We'll investigate within 48 hours
- We'll propose a resolution within 5 working days
We are not currently a member of an alternative dispute resolution (ADR) scheme, and we are not required by law to use one. If we cannot resolve your complaint within 8 weeks, or you are unhappy with our final response, you can get free, independent advice from the Citizens Advice consumer service, who can refer the matter to Trading Standards. Your right to take a claim to the county court is unaffected.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

12. Trading address
SmartLockPro is operated by Henry Dennis. Our trading address, and the address for any formal or written notice including cancellation:

This is a business correspondence address, not a shop or trade counter — all installation work is carried out at your property, and we don't accept callers without an appointment.
